Peter Wright is through to the semi-finals of the World Grand Prix for the second time after defeating Dimitri van den Bergh in a dramatic sudden death decider.
Wright went 1-0 up in sets but was suddenly 2-1 down before sending it all the way as Van den Bergh missed match darts in sheer darting drama as he could now face Michael van Gerwen next up.
Wright hit double five to begin a sloppy opening leg to hold. He went five darts into a nine-darter in double in and double 12 for a 10-darter to double his lead.

Wright hit double 18 to follow up with a hold of his own. Van den Bergh hit double eight to go 2-1 up with Wright needing to hold to send it to a decider.
A 144 checkout saw Wright send it to a decider. He missed a 101 checkout to take the set and Van den Bergh after pressuring with a 180 had a dart at 66 but missed allowing ‘Snakebite’ back only for him to slip into single one allowing the Belgian back for an easy set.
A 71 checkout saw Van den Bergh go into the lead for the first time for a break. Wright hit double 20 off 50 to break back and flipped the set on double five.
Van den Bergh held on double nine. With two 140’s in a row, Van den Bergh hit an 89 checkout to break and go 2-1 up in sets. Wright broke on double 12 to go 1-0 up.
Wright missed double 18 on 121 but returned for double nine to go one away from sending it to a decider. A 148 checkout saw Van den Bergh hold to make it 2-1.
A 180 saw Wright in control but he handed Van den Bergh a break chance which he missed two darts on double 16 as Wright hit a 54 checkout to send it all the way.
Wright hit double 12 to hold which he followed with a 180 and double 20 to go one away. A 160 start for Wright was followed by 124 missed on the bull before more missed match darts and Van den Bergh hit double eight.
It was sent to a decider with Wright leaving 57 which he missed two match darts. Van den Bergh missed three darts on the wire and Wright hit double 10 to finally seal it.
