Wright "looking forward" to second round clash with Price: "You have to be ready to beat everyone"

Peter Wright will face Gerwyn Price in the second round of the European Championship in what is a mouthwatering tie so early on in the tournament after a brilliant opening win over Gabriel Clemens.

Wright who is facing Price due to missing the final two European Tour events which affected his seeding said that if he is going to win, he has to beat the best anyway.

"I don't mind having to play Gerwyn early in the event because if you're going to win a tournament you have to be ready to beat everyone, I'm looking forward to it.

"There are so many big tournaments coming up and loads of darts so the motivation is definitely there to start playing my best again."
