Martijn Kleermaker is the first big name player to announce that he will not be involved at the World Masters.
It was revealed last month that top BDO names were threatening a boycott but Kleermaker’s absence is for a reason which is unrelated.
The Dutchman has work during that period and in a comment said that he couldn’t take further days off.
He is the only top 16 Dutchman to not be playing in the tournament which takes place from October 23-October 24 at the Circus Tavern.
