Martin Adams is one of a few players that has always remained loyal to the British Darts Organisation (BDO) over the years; but he has drawn the honest conclusion that it has in fact finished.
The problems in the BDO stem from the commercial organisation
going into liquidation. There are no tournaments in sight including the World Championship; with the current attention being on the County side of the game with many leaving to join the likes of the UKDA.
According to three-time Lakeside Champion Adams, it was done at the World Masters last year; as well as that it is 'unrecoverable'.
"I have got to be honest. I think unfortunately the BDO has died. It died at the World Masters in my view. That was a very sad sad day, what more can you say. I just think it's unrecoverable," said 'Wolfie' to
Darts World at a drive in exhibition in Scotland.
"I think it's beyond saving now. When you go into voluntary liquidation, that's nails in the coffin. I think we actually buried it with Olly Croft, the founder."
