European Q-School - Day Four: Portela, Clemens, Kamphuis and Koltsov into semi-final in Hildesheim

The semi-final line up for day four of European Q-School has been confirmed with Diogo Portela, Gabriel Clemens, Vincent Kamphuis and Boris Koltsov the four men who will battle it out to get through to the final for the chance of an outright tour card.
Portela ensured his progression with a deciding leg victory over Danny Noppert who has already won his tour card through the order of merit with the same being for Robert Marijanovic who lost to Gabriel Clemens 5-3.
Koltsov, Kamphuis and Portela are well known players as is Clemens so there will be no surprise whoever wins it today with Robbe and Kanik unexpectedly winning cards on Day 2 and 3 but barring the latter none of the 3 have had a brilliant time this weekend and will be hoping to put that right come the end of today.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises.
