"Can't even imagine myself lifting the trophy just yet" - Luke Littler remains focused, one win away from historic World Darts Championship title

Luke Littler is one win away from a historic World Darts Championship victory. The 16-year-old Englishman was too strong for Rob Cross in the semifinals, 6-2.

"It's not even sunk in yet," says Littler in his post-match press conference. "I'm just happy to bring my best darts up onto the biggest stage of them all."

For the first time in three tournament, Littler was in a bit of adversity during his semi-final, losing the first set. "I just pointed out to my family and my friends, it's only one set, it's only the first set. Rob missed 86 to go two up, maybe that would have changed things but I dug deep and won that set and also won the game."

'The Nuke' is going to change little to nothing. "Just got to stay focused. Just got to be Luke Littler and just relax," he explains. Nerves are not in Littler's mind for now. "Can't even imagine myself lifting the trophy just yet. Have to play tomorrow and beat whoever is in front of me."

Littler will take on Luke Humphries, who destroyed Scott Williams in the other semifinal, 6-0.
