Luke Humphries will hunt for his first world title on Wednesday night. The 28-year-old Englishman was at his brilliant best to see off Scott Williams 6-0 in the semifinals of the World Darts Championship.
Humphries left Williams no chance, averaging over 108 in a demolition. "It feels really special and it's something that I never really dreamed would happen so early on in my career. I still feel new to the game," Humphries reflects in his post-match press conference. "To be in that world final is a massive feeling for me. I've worked incredibly hard over the last couple of years to put myself in these positions so to go on and do it after the way to tourament started for me, I'm really pleased."

"I think that's probably some of the best form I've ever played on the stage," he continues. "I needed to put in a statement performance because Luke Littler was fantastic and if I put in an edgy performance everyone would have probably thought it was a one-sided final."
With both Humphries and Littler making their first appearance in the World Darts Championship final, a new champion is guaranteed. "It's absolutely amazing that one of us is going to get that achievement of being a world champion. Unfortunately, both of us can't so it's a massive spectacle and I feel like both of us are going to be really excited and you mightcsee some nervy edgy bits in there, but one of us is going to be really overjoyed tomorrow and I just hope it's me."
Humphries though, is not surprised that the 16-year-old Littler reached the final. "I don't think there's any nerves coming from him," Humphries says. "For one of us, our lives are going to change forever. There's a lot on the line."
