Luke Humphries hits top gear to whitewash Scott Williams and set up World Darts Championship final with Luke Littler

Luke Humphries produced the performance of the tournament so far to annihilate Scott Williams in the semi-final of the World Darts Championship 6-0 and set up a final against 16-year-old sensation Luke Littler.

Although 'Cool Hand Luke' may have rode his luck somewhat in reaching the semi-final stage, surviving near-exits against Ricardo Pietreczko and Joe Cullen, Humphries was never in any real danger here.

Although Scott Williams didn't play badly, 'Shaggy' averaging in the mid-90s throughout the contest, he simply could not live with Humphries on either the scoring phase or the finishing.

Averaging 108.74 with 14 maximums and six 100+ checkouts it was a genuine shock everytime Humphries didn't hit what he aimed for.

Dropping just seven legs in the six sets, Humphries also now takes a hold of the world number spot in the PDC Order of Merit for the first time in his career.

Can he cap off an incredible few months by claiming the ultimate prize? Only one man stands in his way now... 16-year-old Luke Littler, who booked his own spot in the final via a 106 average and a 6-2 win over Rob Cross. If the same form is replicated by both in the final on January 3rd, we could be in for one of the greatest games ever seen!
