European Darts Grand Prix
The European Darts Grand Prix 2026 is due to take place between 17-19 April 2026 at a European Tour staple in the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen. Taking place most years since its inception, it sees Gary Anderson as defending champion.

Anderson defeated Andrew Gilding 8-0 in the 2025 final and will return this year as the European Tour continues into Event Five. Albeit there will be no Luke Humphries and Luke Littler and Littler will not play the ProTour on the same week either so continues to just play Premier League.
Top seed again as a result is Gian van Veen alongside Michael van Gerwen with Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price also among the main seeds.

Predictions European Darts Grand Prix 2026

Samuel Gill, Head Editor for DartsNews.com sees Danny Noppert or Gary Anderson winning it.
For me it is easy to pick Price like I often have but I see Danny Noppert who came so close last time out perhaps winning it here to continue to cement in a way Nathan Aspinall did why he shouldn't have been left out of Premier League contention.
While Gary Anderson has won the last few and as others will go onto, it is whether he turns up. Other players I see in contention of course will be Nathan Aspinall after last week, Martin Schindler has struggled but he has to win another of these eventually while Krzysztof Ratajski continues to gather a head of steam.

Oliver Ried, Editor for DartsNews.DE sees Michael van Gerwen winning the title.
The European Tour continues in Sindelfingen with Event 5. For me, it’s a bit of a home game, as it’s the closest PDC tournament to where I live. Gary Anderson has won here the past two years, but I’m saying it won’t happen again this time.
In the end, I see Michael van Gerwen lifting the trophy and delivering an outstanding weekend. He hasn’t been particularly convincing in recent weeks, but MVG has often shown that he can suddenly hit top form and produce a brilliant tournament out of nowhere.

Gary Anderson, who I’ve already mentioned, is certainly among the main contenders. He seems to feel comfortable in Sindelfingen and will likely be in the mix again. At times this season, he has played really well, even if we haven’t seen him too often. However, I believe that in the end—depending on how many players withdraw—he will fall short in either the semi-finals or the final against MVG, in what could be one of the best European Tour matches of 2026.
Gerwyn Price is also firmly on the list of favourites. With his current form and hunger for titles, “The Iceman” is an obvious contender.
You should also keep an eye on Gian van Veen, Danny Noppert and Jonny Clayton. All three are having excellent seasons and are always among the favourites for the title. In addition, I predict that we will see two Host Nation Qualifiers—Michael Unterbuchner and Paul Krohne—reach the second round, with one of them even making it through to the last 16.

Michael van Gerwen for glory?
Lucas Michael, Editor for DartsNews.com picks Gerwyn Price for glory.
From Munich to Sindelfingen, the European Tour continues to travel around Germany with the next event in store being the European Darts Grand Prix.
For the second week on the spin, no Luke Littler or Luke Humphries leaves a giant crater in the lineup ready to be capitalised on by the flurry of darters making the trip. The likes of Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen will again be heavily tipped for glory, but they are not immune to another early exit.
It is great to hopefully see Gary Anderson back on the Euro Tour. If he finds his A-game throughout, then he could be really hard to defeat, similar to 2024 and 2025 when he took this title home. The same, in fairness, could be said about a number of players. Premier League regulars Jonny Clayton, Stephen Bunting and Josh Rock are all hotly tipped for a deep run, but the standards are so high that any dip in their game could be harrowing. That is my fear for the latter two.
A surprise name could be pulled out of the bag. Never write Wessel Nijman off despite his recent blip, with Ross Smith, Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle and Danny Noppert all motivated to clinch their maiden triumph on the Euro Tour.
For my champion, the inform Gerwyn Price is an obvious candidate. The consistent high averages and clinical finishing have propelled him away from everyone in recent times. With the added fact that Littler will not be a burden for him, I am going to predict for the ‘Iceman’ to seal a 10th Euro Tour title.
*** Gerwyn Price
** Jonny Clayton, Josh Rock
* Gary Anderson, Michael van Gerwen, Gian van Veen
Mats Leering, Editor for DartsNieuws.com also sees Price as champion.
Following Munich, the European Tour continues with the fifth event in Sindelfingen: the European Darts Grand Prix. Here too, players such as Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will certainly not be taking part, which improves the chances for others.
The names that immediately spring to mind as favourites are, of course, Gerwyn Price and Gian van Veen, provided they do not decide at the last minute not to travel to Germany after all. Looking further at recent performances on the European Tour, Nathan Aspinall and Jonny Clayton are also names to watch.
Furthermore, many Dutch players have been performing well on the Euro Tour recently. Niels Zonneveld has reached the quarter-finals in three consecutive tournaments, so he certainly needs to be taken into account. Noppert recently reached a final and Wessel Nijman has also been in good form for weeks. Michael van Gerwen is always capable of winning a tournament, and Dirk van Duijvenbode is also capable of going far.
Outsiders who might spring a surprise, in my view, are Chris Dobey, Luke Woodhouse and Ryan Searle.

Bram Coenen, Editor for DartsNieuws.com picks the top Welsh duo to dominate.
After a week of rest, the European Tour resumes in Sindelfingen, where the European Darts Grand Prix is on the schedule. In the first four tournaments of the year, we saw four different winners on the European Tour, so it remains to be seen whether that trend will continue in Sindelfingen.
Gary Anderson starts the tournament as the defending champion, and as things stand, the Scot is indeed expected to defend his title. It will be his first appearance on the European Tour this year.
The world numbers one and two, Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, will not take part in this tournament, but the rest of the top four is present, with Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen. Both Dutch players were eliminated at an early stage in the previous tournament, so it will be interesting to see how they perform in Sindelfingen.
However, there is more Dutch talent competing in the European Darts Grand Prix. Wessel Nijman has already made a big impression this year with two ranking titles. Although he lost in the opening round in the last two Euro Tours, he remains one of the players to watch. The same goes for Niels Zonneveld. “Triple Z” has already reached two semi-finals and a quarter-final this year and can keep aiming higher.
From a Belgian perspective, attention will be on whether Kim Huybrechts can continue his good form from recent weeks. “The Hurricane,” who has recently started working with Erik Clarys, reached the third round in the previous tournament and has been performing at a consistent level. Can he go one step further in Sindelfingen?
In conclusion, there is no clear top favorite for this tournament. The field is wide open, which makes it even more exciting.

Nicolas Gayer, Editor for DartsNews.DE has gone rogue on his pick with a certain James Wade.
It is actually quite remarkable that one of the greatest players of all time — and currently one of the best players in the world — has now been waiting almost ten years for a PDC European Tour title, isn’t it? If I were going purely by probabilities, this prediction would probably be a risky one — but I believe that run will come to an end in Sindelfingen.
Of course, the player in question is “The Machine,” James Wade. So far, Wade’s European Tour campaign has been fairly modest: after three opening-round defeats, the Englishman is still waiting for his first win of the season on the circuit. Away from the European Tour stage, however, things have been going extremely well for him. Wade won Players Championship 1, reached the semi-finals at event three, and also made another major final at the UK Open. It therefore feels like only a matter of time before the breakthrough follows on the European Tour as well.
Behind Wade, the usual suspects remain firmly in focus. Jonny Clayton, currently leading the Premier League Darts table, is as always a serious contender for the title, while a well-rested Gerwyn Price should also play a major role in the decisive stages of the tournament. Similarly to Wade, I also believe that Danny Noppert is due to break his own title drought very soon.

Pieter Verbeek, Editor for DartsNieuws.com picks Price also for the title.
The Euro Tour makes its next stop in Sindelfingen, a venue that has long since become a staple on the circuit, having hosted events since 2013. In recent years, Gary Anderson has dominated proceedings here, claiming back-to-back titles. The big question, however, is whether ‘The Flying Scotsman’ will even be in attendance this time, having withdrawn from the last four Euro Tour events.
If Anderson does make the trip, he naturally has to be considered an outsider for the title. The standout favourite, in my view, is Gerwyn Price. ‘The Iceman’ has been the most consistent performer in this field, regularly producing high averages on both the Pro Tour and in the Premier League Darts.
The Welshman will face strong competition from compatriot Jonny Clayton, as well as Nathan Aspinall, who comes into the event full of confidence after winning the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich earlier this month.
The Dutch contingent has also impressed on the Euro Tour this year, and Sindelfingen could well provide another opportunity for success. Wessel Nijman claimed the European Darts Trophy earlier in the season, while Gian van Veen reached the final of the Poland Darts Open. As for Michael van Gerwen, he will be eager to produce a strong result as he looks to reignite his Euro Tour campaign.
