The fairy-tale continues! 16-year-old Luke Littler eases into World Darts Championship final averaging over 106

16-year-old Luke Littler has eased his way into the World Darts Championship final with the minimum of fuss. The teenage sensation taking a 6-2 win over Rob Cross averaging over a 106 in the process.

Cross started the match very well, but for the majority of the match was simply outplayed by 'The Nuke', who despite never having played such a long format before, just got better and better the longer the match went on.

However, how could the match have gone had Cross used his set dart in the second set for a 2-0 lead? 'Voltage' missed one chance on the bullseye and Littler then made it 2-2 with a 13-darter and pulled the set 3-2 with a 74 finish.

Another key moment was the fourth leg of the third set, in which Cross missed a dart to make 2-2. Littler then won the set via a 16-darter and then took the fourth set 3-2 thanks to an 11-darter.

Cross managed to narrow the gap by taking the fifth set, but then saw the sixth set go 3-1 to Littler thanks to two 13-darters. By winning the seventh set 3-1, 'The Nuke' needed only one more set to win the match for good.

With a delightful 132 finish, Littler got off to a great start in the eighth set. Cross equalised with a 14-darter, before Littler regained the lead with a 13-darter. Cross managed to delay the end another leg, before Littler managed to finish it off with a 14-darter. On Wednesday night, Littler will face the winner of the match between Luke Humphries and Scott Williams in the final.
