Littler then stepped on the gas pedal even deeper by taking a 4-2 lead with a 151 checkout and a 136 finish. Littler then needed nine darts to make it 5-2. Leung then closed to 5-3, before Littler sealed the match with a 12-darter.

Luke Humphries had a carefree evening against Bahraini qualifier Abdulla Saeed. Saeed's highlight was a 180 score, rewarding Saeed with a fist bump from the reigning world champion. However, at 69 average, the level of the darter from Bahrain was far too low to keep up with Humphries. With a very solid performance, Humphries put a 6-0 final score on the scoreboard. 'Cool Hand Luke' did not even miss an arrow on the double throughout the match and threw an average of 98.
