"Probably the most famous person in Britain" - Snooker's Jamie Jones takes inspiration from Luke Littler with Crucible entrance

The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield is currently hosting the World Snooker Championship. As it turns out, the recent performances of Luke Littler has even been inspiring some in the snooker world.

Jamie Jones, who lost to John Higgins in the first round, entered the legendary Crucible to the tones of "Greenlight" by Pitbull ft. Flo Rida and LunchMoney Lewis, the same walkout song as the teenage darting sensation, something that was not a coincidence. "My son and I watch the Premier League Darts every Thursday," Jones told SportsBoom. "From the World Championships, he's absolutely glued to the sport."

Jones, the current world number 41, admits his son has probably become a bigger fan of darts and Littler than snooker and himself. "Littler is probably the most famous person in Britain to him. He is a breath of fresh air to sport, and we love him," Jones explains, recalling how his son used to watch his snooker-playing father at home from the couch with a bowl of popcorn, but, "I had a picture sent to me of him [his son] with a big tub of popcorn waiting to watch me play. But I think he’ll have switched over to watch Littler after that."

By the way, Littler is active at the Austrian Darts Open this weekend, in the opening round there he was too strong for Zoran Lerchbacher, 6-2. He will take on Damon Heta in the second round later today.
