The second day of the
World Cup of Darts starts as early as 11:00 on Friday afternoon. The losing countries from Friday night's session will then be in action against the third country in each group.
Countries that lost their first game on Friday night will need to win to still have a chance of qualifying for the knockout phase of the World Cup of Darts.
Under par Northern Ireland are fighting for their last chance. The duo Brendan Dolan and Daryl Gurney will play Ukraine's Vladyslav Omelchenko and Illia Pekaruk after their defeat against France.
The same goes for seeded countries Portugal (featuring Jose de Sousa), Austria (featuring Mensur Suljovic and Rowby-John Rodriguez) and Spain (featuring Jose Justicia). They will play on Friday afternoon against Lithuania, United States and Iceland respectively.
The remaining group matches will be played on Friday evening. Then it will be known which 12 countries will join England, Wales, the Netherlands and Scotland in the last 16.
Where can the World Cup of Darts be seen on TV?
The World Cup of Darts will be shown in full on Sky Sports in the UK as well as
PDCTV as well as Viaplay and DAZN in other territories.
On Thursday 15 June and Friday 16 June, the matches from the group phase are
scheduled. On Saturday 17 June, the second round is scheduled. The rest of the tournament will be completed on Sunday. In the afternoon, the quarter-finals will take place, followed by the semi-finals and the final in the evening session.
What is the distribution of prize money at the World Cup of Darts?
There will be £450,000 in prize money during this pairs tournament. The event has a higher prize pool than last year. A total of £100,000 has been added to the prize money to be distributed.
The 36 countries in the group stage will receive a minimum of £2,000 per player, while players from the top four seeded countries will receive at least £9,000 each. This could eventually rise to £40,000 per player on winning the World Cup of Darts.
