Gulliver MBE said as part of the Darts Legends series for the Weekly Dartscast that she was initially approached to play in the PDC Men's World Championship. This saw Olly Croft as a result deciding to create the Women's one; which meant a decision had to be made.
"The PDC approached me about playing. I rang Olly Croft and told him about it; within a week he rang me back and said you've got your own World Championship," said Gulliver MBE to Weekly Dartscast.
"I could have been very selfish there. It was something I was seriously considering; it would have been a one off tournament, there was nothing else in the pipeline. Would I lose my ranking points, would I lose my number one position; there was all sorts of what could of been in making that decision."
