Gary Anderson completed a perfect two days in Rotterdam where he picked up 6 points with a rampant win over Daryl Gurney. He now is almost certain to be at the O2 for the playoffs.
He spoke afterwards and admitted that he is over the moon to secure maximum points which was his aim. As well as that for Anderson he thinks the growth of the sport is amazing with 20,000 people packing out the Ahoy.
"I've come away with six points and played quite well so I'm over the moon," said Anderson.
"I said before we came out here that six points was my aim, and to get that is brilliant.
"We've come across to Holland for two nights and played in front of 20,000 people, and it’s absolutely amazing.
"I thought this game couldn’t get any bigger about five years ago but it obviously can, it’s amazing how darts has grown."

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
