Peter Wright has lost his position in top-16 of PDC Order of Merit after more than 11 years

The Grand Slam of Darts has caused an earthquake on the PDC Order of Merit. Luke Littler, Gary Anderson, Martin Lukeman and Mickey Mansell are the big winners, while Nathan Aspinall, Peter Wright and Raymond van Barneveld have had to drop quite a few spots.

In just over 11 months, Littler has grabbed a spot in the top five of the world rankings after starting the Grand Slam of Darts as No. 18 in the world. 'The Nuke' has earned more prize money in this period, than players such as Dave Chisnall, Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price have done in 24 months. In winning the Grand Slam of Darts, Littler collected 153,500 pounds in prize money. It seems a matter of time before Littler moves into the top three, and with a world title, a second spot in the world rankings even beckons.

The first spot, of course, is still held by Luke Humphries, who has a huge lead over Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith. The latter lost his second spot to the Dutchman. Rob Cross retained the fourth spot. Stephen Bunting (+2) and Dimitri van den Bergh (+2) did make progression and are now eighth and 10th, respectively.

Gary Anderson is back in the top-16 of the world rankings. 'The Flying Scotsman' moved up seven spots after his semifinal finish at the Grand Slam of Darts and is now ranked No. 13 in the world. Nathan Aspinall, on the other hand, lost seven spots, dropping from spot seven to 14th. 'The Asp' was in the final at Wolverhampton two years ago, but did not even manage to qualify this season.

Peter Wright is no longer among the 16 best darters in the world as of today. 'Snakebite' has been slipping on the PDC Order of Merit in recent months and now had to drop three spots again. He now finds himself in seventeenth position. It is the first time since the autumn of 2013 that Wright is not in the top-16. Josh Rock also dropped three spots, he is now eighteenth.

Gian van Veen managed to move up four spots thanks to his strong performance. Thanks to his quarterfinal place, the 'GVV The Giant' now holds 28th place. Raymond van Barneveld, on the other hand, fell five spots down. The 2022 semifinalist was missing this year and now occupies the 32nd position. Martin Lukeman and Mickey Mansell were the two tournament revelations at the Grand Slam of Darts. Surprise finalist Lukeman earned 73,500 pounds in prize money and was able to trade 45th place for 37th. Semi-finalist Mansell even moved up from spot 56 to 43rd place.
