European Q-School - Day Four: Gabriel Clemens wins the final outright card on the final day in Hildesheim

Gabriel Clemens has won the final outright Tour Card defeating Vincent Kamphuis 5-3. The German joins Jeffrey de Zwaan, Mario Robbe and Tytus Kanis, who won a outright Tour Card over the last three days.
After reaching the semi final on the first day, Clemens did not scored any points on Friday and Saturday. However, he beat the likes of Armin Glanzer, Yordi Meeuwisse, Robert Marijanovic and Boris Koltsov to reach the final in Hildesheim. Runner-up Kamphuis will receive a Tour Card as well, as he moved into the top-6 of the Q-School Order of Merit.
The European Q-School will play down to a winner on each day, to give four automatic Tour Cards. The remaining players earning ranking points. Ranking points are awarded with one point per win from rounds where there are no Byes onwards.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. - It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I blame the PDC to a certain extent though doubt they really care as they win regardless of which player wins or loses.Mysstree16-11-2024
