Daryl Gurney has admitted he wants to hit the ground running ahead of the next few TV tournaments and that he has had a good break, his first in two and a half years.
Gurney starts with his Champions League of Darts debut and has said he has put the practice in to make sure he is ready for Brighton. "I want to hit the ground running in the run of TV tournaments coming up, I don't want to make a slow start," said Gurney, who reached the final of Players Championship 17 in Barnsley earlier this month. "I've put in a good bit of practice in the last few weeks to get myself ready for Brighton and the rest of the year. "August was my first break from darts in almost two-and-a-half years but it was a good chance to recharge my batteries, spend time with son and now I'm ready to go. "From now until the Worlds takes complete focus and it will be January before I know it, the next couple of months will fly by because we're so busy."
