Stompé in disbelief over Taylor attitude: 'Turning his own farewell into a joke'

Phil Taylor is getting involved in way more incidents than ever before in his last year as a darts professional. ‘The Power’ experienced interesting moments on stage in matches against, among others, Michael van Gerwen, Corey Cadby, Peter Wright and Kim Huybrechts. The 16-time World Champion’s behaviour has also been noticed by Co Stompé. In an interview with Dutch website NUSport, Stompé says he doesn’t understand Taylor’s attitude. ‘‘As a player I always had a lot of respect for him. He is the best player in history. All those years he never said a bad word about any of his opponents, so why do it in your last year. He is making a fool of himself and is turning his own farewell into a joke.’’
