Wade defeats Price in last leg thriller as European Championship semi-final line up finalised

The semi-final line up has been finalised at the European Championship with James Wade set to face off against Max Hopp after overcoming Gerwyn Price.
It was a match that was tied throughout till the very end with Price seemingly having the edge at certain points. In the decider, The Iceman missed three match darts; in typical Wade fashion, he punished this.
’The Machine’ will be one of the main favourites to claim the win later despite only getting through by the skin of his teeth. In addition statistics wise, it was a 95 average with a high checkout of 96 with four 180’s for the Aldershot ace.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
