Wade mounts brilliant comeback to see off home hero Hopp and reach European Championship final

James Wade has seen off Max Hopp in a thrilling match where he came back from the brink to force a deciding leg which he won to set up a European Championship final with Simon Whitlock.

Wade was 9-5 down but battled back to 10-10 and took advantage of the nerves from Hopp.
Hopp went on to miss three match darts but they did not come in the deciding leg with ‘The Machine’ showing his precision like accuracy to hit a 102 checkout for the win.
After the match he made sure the crowd got what he had as well by going up to them with his arms aloft.
For ‘The Maximiser’, the dream did not happen but he still had an amazing weekend and showed he deserves to be up there.
