Peter Wright eased past Raymond van Barneveld with a 106 average in a 7-3 win to strengthen his ambitions for a Premier League title challenge.
Wright spoke afterwards and called it his best performance of the season but that he can still improve further. He lauds a change of darts as having an effect on his performance and now he wants to average over 100 more regularly. "I'm pleased with the way it went and I'm happy with the win," said Wright. "It's as good a performance as I've had this season but I can still improve. "I've changed from 24 gram darts to 26 grams since last week and there's loads of potential in them. I want to be more consistent and average over 100 more regularly." He added: "I love coming up to Aberdeen and it was an electrifying atmosphere tonight." for more information about the Premier League Darts, including all the fixtures and the prize fund breakdown.
