Wright survives match darts in seeing off Lewis at The Masters

The final match of the Last 16 is complete at The Masters with Peter Wright edging out Adrian Lewis in a last leg decider.
Wright looked to be heading out of the tournament but had a late flurry to get back into it. Then it went to a final leg after Wright won three legs in a row and he held his nerve to move through. This was only after he survived match darts from his opponent to potentially head out of the tournament. In the end his average wasn’t the best at 89 but he will look to improve to put together a good run in Milton Keynes. to check out the tournament centre for the Masters. If it is going to be done to English players, then we are more than entitled to dish the same back when players face off in England. - I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
