Keane Barry has only been on the tour for a few years but time has flown by since his debut back in 2020 at the
World Darts Championship losing to Vincent van der Voort in a highly anticipated game due to his youth prowess and scoring power of both.
"I think it was just a little bit of inexperience back then. I didn't feel like I was overwhelmed by the whole occasion, I was just trying to take it all in," said Barry to Tungsten Tales.
Reaching the semi-finals of the UK Open earlier this year, that major experience will hopefully prove valuable for Ally Pally this year.
"Michael Smith just started kicking into gear and I wasn't finding it as much as I was at the start of the game. If you told me on the Friday that I'd be reaching the semi-finals, I'd be delighted with that but when you're in that position and having those chances of course you're going to be disappointed.
"Maybe a week later and you stand back and look at what you did, you really take a lot from it. I'll look back when I'm winning titles and won't think about that."
"Fourth World Championship and I know now what it's all about, there's nothing new to me. I'm feeling good, practice is going brilliant so I don't see why I can't do well."
