Another dramatic PDC Q-School is in the books. Over the last week in Kalkar and Milton Keynes, over 800 players competed for the right to play on the PDC Pro Tour in 2025 and 2026.

As is always the case, not all the big name players were successful and in this article, Dartsnews takes a look at some of the notable names unable to secure a PDC Tour Card at Q-School 2025.

Beau Greaves

Women's world champion Beau Greaves entered PDC UK Q-School in the Final Stage due to her performances on the Development Tour last year. After starting slowly, ending the first two days pointless, Greaves came into her own on Day Three and Day Four, posting high averages and securing big wins. Sadly for Greaves she'd just left herself too much work to do and eventually finished just 2 points outside the Tour Card spots in the Order of Merit.

Fallon Sherrock

Once again, Fallon Sherrock leaves PDC Q-School without a Tour Card to her name. After having to come through the brutal first stage just to reach Tour Card fight, Sherrock did the opposite of Greaves and started strongly before fading away. 'The Queen of the Palace' picked up points on Day One and Day Two, but failed to capitalise and fell to early exits on both the final two days to end her PDC dream for another year.

John Henderson

Seniors world champion John Henderson had his destiny in his own hands after two days. Sitting pretty on 5 points, 'Hendo' looked for all the world he'd secure a PDC return. Picking up just 1 point over the next two days though, Henderson agonisingly missed out on leg difference in the Order of the Merit.

Simon Whitlock

After 14 years as a regular and recognisable fave on the PDC circuit, Simon Whitlock's time on the Pro Tour is officially over. The Wizard was one of the big disappointments of Q-School, picking up just 1 point across the four days and in the end, going out with a whimper on Day Four, losing 6-3 loss to Tom Sykes in the opening round and averaging just 77.

Mervyn King

Much like Whitlock and Henderson, Mervyn King will be swapping PDC darts for Seniors action in 2025. The Englishman a final day miracle to save his Tour Card, but after losing out to Bradley Brooks in the last 16 on Day Four, 'The King' was left stranded on 3 points in the Order of Merit.

Jeffrey de Zwaan

It's set to be another year without a PDC Tour Card for Jeffrey de Zwaan, something almost criminal for a player of immense talent. Like King in the UK, De Zwaan left himself with a lot of work to do on the final day in the EU and at one point threatened pulling it off. After losing out 6-4 to Maximilian Czerwinski in the quarter-finals though, De Zwaan finished outside the Tour Card spots via leg difference.

Jimmy van Schie

Arguably the big favourite to get a PDC Tour Card from European Q-School, WDF number one Jimmy van Schie seemed in a perfect position after reaching the final on Day One. Bagging 5 points from that run, it seemed unthinkable Van Schie would go pointless for the rest of the week but incredibly that's what the Dutchman did, suffering three first round exits on the spin to deny him a PDC Tour Card in disastrous fashion.

Shane McGuirk

Lakeside champion Shane McGuirk is now set to return to Frimley Green later this year to defend his title. The Irishman was unable to follow in the footsteps of Andy Baetens from last year and back up a WDF World Championship win with Q-School success, finishing 69th in the UK Order of Merit on 1 point.

Former World Champions Miss Out

There were a host of former world champions disappointed at Q-School this week. Three-time champion John Part failed to even qualify for the final stage. Scott Mitchell and Richie Burnett failed to make much impact in the fight for Tour Cards. Scott Waites played just one day before he went home. Former world finalists Alan Norris, Mark McGeeney, Andy Hamilton and Mark Dudbridge were all also unable to ensure success in Milton Keynes.

Notable names unsuccessful in Kalkar

At European Q-School, recognisable names such as Darius Labanauskas, Boris Krcmar, David Cameron, Rowby-John Rodriguez and Adam Gawlas were all unsuccessful. As were highly touted players such as Andreas Harrysson, Anton Ostlund, Stefan Bellmont, Alexander Merkx and Liam Maendl-Lawrance among others.
