Cross edges past out-of-sorts Van Gerwen as Chisnall continues superb European Tour form with Aspinall win

The first semi-final is confirmed at the Czech Darts Open with Rob Cross set to face Dave Chisnall later this evening in Prague.

Cross now has back-to-back victories over Michael van Gerwen after an out-of-sorts display from 'The Green Machine' who averaged just 91.3 in defeat compared to nearly 95 for Cross featuring four 180s and 46.2% on the doubles.

Once again, it was doubles that proved to be the issue for Van Gerwen who missed 10 darts in all and sat at 28.6% in defeat.

While in a dramatic win, Chisnall is through to his third European Tour semi-final of the season and could add a third title in doing so. He saw off Nathan Aspinall 6-5 with six 180's and a 101.5 average.

He did so by winning the last two legs after being 5-4 down to Aspinall but he saved his skin featuring a 120 checkout en route and now faces Cross.
