Gian van Veen snatches record from Phil Taylor after monster average at European Championship Darts

Gian van Veen made a big impression on Friday night by scoring an average of 107.34 in his debut match at the European Championship Darts. He completely outplayed Damon Heta 6-1.

He hit checkouts of 70, 72 and 144, among others, and also notched two 12-darters to knock the number six seed from the tournament.
