The
Poland Darts Open is due to take place between Friday February 20 and Sunday February 22 and is the first European Tour of the season. A first foray to Poland too with the Expo in Krakow holding the event.
The Poland Darts Masters previously took top billing as a World Series tournament with record ticket sales for the event but a decision was taken to make it a European Tour event called the
Poland Darts Open with the World Series scrubbed off the calendar.
But it marks one of a few stops outside of Germany in 2026 including Bratislava with the Slovak Darts Open appearing for the first time and will see many of the top names descend on the tournament.
Among those involved include Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen and Gerwyn Price. Albeit that is subject to any late withdrawals with the European Tour which tournaments have become known for as a result of the Premier League.
This is despite the top players getting the protection of being seeds and not entering in until the second round so their tournament doesn't begin until the Saturday anyway. Albeit in the early running before the schedule piles up that tends to be less of an issue for the top names.
