Humphries new favourite with bookies for overall victory at World Matchplay

After coming through the thriller against Dirk van Duijvenbode (14-12), Luke Humphries has been backed by tournament sponsor Betfred as the new favourite for overall victory at the World Matchplay.

The Englishman is chasing his first major title in Blackpool. After the eliminations of Michael Smith, Peter Wright, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price, Humphries is the highest-seeded player still in the tournament.
Humphries has been given a odds of 3/1, meaning you get four pounds back when you bet one pound on a title for "Cool Hand Luke. Behind Humphries follows Jonny Clayton with a odds of 4/1.
Nathan Aspinall (11/2) and Joe Cullen (13/2) are viewed more as outsiders, with the chances of Chris Dobey (8/1), Damon Heta (9/1), Ryan Searle (10/1) and Daryl Gurney (14/1) seen at progressively longer odds.
