Luke Humphries will face Kim Huybrechts on Saturday afternoon in the second match on as the fourth round begins to take shape at the 2020 PDC World Championship.
Humphries spoke
after his win over Nico Kurz and said that from his perspective it harbours big opportunities for whoever wins in terms of their rankings and that he will now be shifting his attention to qualifying for further majors now he is in the latter stages at the Alexandra Palace again.
"That would be a big coup for me to get to back-to-back Quarter-Finals. Kim will look at it like I do, it's a very winnable game for us both; it could have been Joe Cullen and Rob Cross but it's two unseeded players,
"If Kim wins he could be back in the top 32 and if I win, I could be close to the top 32 so it's a huge game for us both but if I can find the first treble, I feel very comfortable to get through that game," said Humphries.
"Whatever happens next year I am going to put my mind into qualifying for the biggest majors in the World because I sometimes think when I'm watching the World Matchplay, the World Grand Prix I could be up here causing upsets because that's how good I can be."
