Tavis Dudeney sealed his tour card as he finally let his emotions flood out after seeing off Adam Paxton at UK Q-School and will join the annuls of the PDC Tour for the next two years.

A long time coming for Dudeney who was long a prodigious talent in the JDC and then in the Development Tour more recently. He detailed his darting journey after winning the final and his delight was evident.

"Unbelievable, I just can't believe it. I really can't," said Dudeney post final after bursting out in tears.

"I was just thinking if I broke throw, just try and hold and if I don't break again and just go from there and keep plodding and keep going. Don't let the emotions get to me and just to hit that bullseye for the 126 was unbelievable."

"I've been playing darts since I was 7 or 8 in local league. I remember starting on a Tuesday and having to ask the pubs if I was allowed in to play and just I knew as soon as I took it up and wanted it this was my target. To achieve it is unbelievable."

"Starting Dev Tour was step by step. Made my first semi-final two years ago and then it was like you can build on this now and then made another semi-final and made a final. I won the first one and I thought I can kick on now."

He also spoke about the inspiration of Luke Littler playing with him as they both grew up and he wants to blaze a similar trail.

"Everyone would say Phil Taylor, the stuff he's done for the game. I've known Luke Littler for a long time and seeing what he's done is unbelievable. I kind of thought you can do that."

"I knew I had the game to get through. It was just doing it. First day wasn't great. Yesterday was a little bit better. Missus came up and stayed with me today, that was a massive turning point in having her there watching me. Writing a few wrongs here or there."
