Fallon Sherrock led in her tie against Ricky Evans going 1-0 up but failing to maintain that due to a slew of missed darts at doubles which allowed the Kettering ace to win through at the PDC
World Darts Championship.
Sherrock spoke after the defeat and aims to utilise that experience to come back stronger and also was a fan of Evans' bonkers Santa walk-on and said it actually helped the game more than put her off.
“It was a stronger performance than what I have done all year, so I cannot moan about it. Obviously I’m disappointed not to win. I’ll come back stronger," said Sherrock as per
PDC.
“At the end of the day, it’s stuff that I can take back and use as a learning curve. If I get there and quality for next year, I can work on that.
“Hopefully in years to come, these experiences will help me and make me a better player. There are some tweaks to work on in my game.
“Every year I am back it’s always enjoyable, every year I have played at a decent level,” added Sherrock.
“I played youth darts against Ricky’s county team but I never actually had the opportunity to play him before, but I enjoyed the game regardless [of the result].
“The walk-on from Ricky was funny, seeing him come on as Santa.
“Ricky will always have a fun attitude for a game, it made the situation very fun to play in.
