Christian Kist became one of four winners Thursday at the Host Nation Qualifier for the Dutch Darts Championship. As with every Euro Tour tournament, there are four set starting spots for players without a PDC Tour Card from the host country.
Kist conceded only six legs in four matches. He successively defeated Martijn Klasens (6-3), Michael Busscher (6-1), Davy Proosten (6-2) and Noa-Lynn van Leuven (6-0) to qualify. Van Leuven thus missed the chance to qualify for a Euro Tour for the first time.
In the main tournament, Kist will face Marvin van Velzen, one of the other winners of the qualifying tournament. Van Velzen won 6-4 from Javanico Jansen in the final round.
