One player who performed well outside the big names in the PDC Summer Series was Martijn Kleermaker who went up 14 places in the updated PDC Order of Merit as a result.

Kleermaker defeated the likes of Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting and Krzysztof Ratajski and as a result, he earned £5,750 in five days: "It is also almost as much as I earned in the first two months of the year," Kleermaker told AD.nl.

“Look: certain top players always come up. Think of Wright and Van Gerwen, but it is interesting to see who are not so quick in doing so, 'The Dutch Giant' continues. “I certainly am like that, but also Ryan Joyce and Devon Petersen. I have a very good feeling about it myself and can't wait until I can play another tournament. ”
