Luke Littler has taken the win on Night Five of the 2025
Premier League Darts in Brighton, defeating
Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in the final after a dramatic night of darting action.
En route to the final, Littler had come through battles against
Chris Dobey (6-5) and Michael van Gerwen (6-2). Aspinall meanwhile, had emerged victorious over
Stephen Bunting (6-2) and
Rob Cross (6-5). In the final though, it was Aspinall who took the opening leg, holding throw in what was a relatively slow start for both. After Littler then got on the board in leg 2, 'The Nuke' bagged the first break of the match in leg 3 to get himself in front at 2-1. Moments later it was 3-1 to Littler as he fired a 99 checkout on double 16.
After Littler missed a chance to go 4-1 ahead, 'The Asp' stopped the rot with a much needed hold of throw. After threatening a nine-darter in leg 6, Aspinall eventually found double 4 to level things back up at 3-3. Then it was Aspinall's chance to see an opportunity come and go, as he missed a dart at double 16 for a 4-3 lead. Once The Asp missed though, Littler punished, finding the double 16 segment to go 4-3 up himself.
After regaining his lead in that 7th leg, Littler further asserted his position on authority with a hold on throw in leg 8 to make it 5-3 in his favour. With Aspinall then unable to hold his throw in the next leg, Littler secured the nightly win with a 6-3 success.

Night of Perfection in Brighton
Before this Night Five, there hadn't been a single nine-darter in the 2025 Premier League Darts. In astonishing scenes in Brighton though, there was not one but two perfect legs. Firstly, world number one and table-topper
Luke Humphries struck perfection in his quarter-final against Rob Cross. Ultimately though, the nine-darter rather threw Humphries out of his stride and it was Cross the prevailed to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, it was the then the turn of Cross himself to pull a moment of magic out of his bag. Already averaging up around the 111 mark, Cross was in top form in his semi-final against Nathan Aspinall. After trailing 2-0 early, 'Voltage' had reeled off three on the spin to get ahead at 3-2. Then came the nine-darter. After back-to-back maximums, Cross did exactly what Humphries had done against him, pinning a stunning 141 checkout for the perfect leg. Again though, it proved to be a death blow to Cross' hopes of victory as Aspinall took the 6-5 win to reach his second weekly final of this year's Premier League Darts.
