Meulenkamp looking to conclude long-term goal: "I'm looking to be in the top 32"

Ron Meulenkamp is currently 53rd in the PDC Order of Merit. The 32-year-old Dutchman is hoping for a strong display at the World Championship once more.

He is qualified for both the Players Championship Finals and Ally Pally but his mindset is that he just needs to play well and the rewards will come.

"The main thing is just to perform good, play good. I know if I play well, I will be in them both so that's good, if I don't play well you don't deserve the spot so I just need to make sure I play my A game and I'll be fine," said Meulenkamp to Weekly Dartscast.

That result for Meulenkamp is a top 32 spot which he is yet to achieve so far but for a reason in his opinion.

"I was aiming for the top 32 now for three years but there's no movement in the rankings. I'm looking to be in the top 32 between now and two years."

He also works on RTL7 away from the oche with Co Stompe who he said got him his job.

"I've done this for quite a while now. They like me being there so I just like to talk about the matches, the players. I think it's good to talk about darts.

"He's my teammate as well, we live close to each other so yeah I've known Co for quite a few years. He brought me to RTL7 so I'm forever thankful for that, he's a great guy."
