Rock sets up potential Round Three of Van Gerwen European Tour clashes with Smolik win as Gilding eases past Van der Voort

The first two players are set in moving through to the Last 16 at the Czech Darts Open with Andrew Gilding and Josh Rock living up to their seeded billing in Prague.
Gilding started proceedings off with a comfortable 6-2 win over Vincent van der Voort. It was a 91 average and two 180's for Gilding with breaks at 2-0 featuring the two maximums in a row to leave double 18 which he pinned first time as well as at 4-1 being the difference as he sealed it with ease.
Rock too saw off Dalibor Smolik in a 6-3 win over the Czech ace who has impressed and did so again on the outer ring but the difference was the scoring for 'Rocky' who hit a 97 average and two 180's.
He also completed the win with a superb 82 checkout using bull and double 16 and could face Michael van Gerwen again next up who plays later this evening.
