Due to Coronavirus, darts has come to a halt but DartsNews as a result takes a look back at some historic moments from darting history with this time Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld being the focus.
Van Barneveld and Van Gerwen met in a double Dutch clash during the 2016 World Championship.
The game culminated into one of the most beautiful matches ever at the Alexandra Palace.
Van Gerwen snatched the first set from Barney. but the latter immediately broke back. The five-time world champion then took a 2-1 and 3-2 lead from there.
In the sixth set, Van Gerwen made it 2-0, but Van Barneveld forced a deciding leg. The set though went to Van Gerwen who managed to produce a brilliant 135 finish under pressure.
A set later, the match did go to Barney in brilliant scenes and it was a moment which lives on as one of his best in the latter half of his career.
