Van Gerwen after easing past Clemens: "It's another step in the right direction"

Michael van Gerwen claimed his spot in the knockout stage of the Grand Slam of Darts after seeing off Gabriel Clemens in a 5-1 win averaging 103.6.
But despite continuing murmurings that the World Number One is potentially back to his best, he wouldn't be drawn on that despite saying it's another step towards it.
"I'm still not going to say 'I'm back' yet but it's another step in the right direction," said Van Gerwen.
"I'm always hard on myself and I demand a lot of myself. I feel good, I feel comfortable but there's a lot of work to be done this week."
