Peter Wright will head into the World Grand Prix next Tuesday with the added pressure of being World Champion and he has revealed his tactics with the double start format.
Wright said it all starts in July for him due to how difficult it is. "Everyone's different. Personally myself I started practicing the doubles in July. It's very difficult."
In terms of the lack of fans, 'Snakebite' said that while it's a shame, it's for the greater good. "You bounce off the fans even if they're booing you. It gets your back up, it makes you play better. If they're cheering you on, it makes you play better. All that noise is part of the game, it's been very difficult this year. But we've got to abide by the rules."
Finally for the Scot, he spoke about his tie with Ryan Joyce and the nerves of the first round. "I've got a first tough game against Ryan Joyce, he's a very good player. He's been around for a little while. Really I only need to win six legs in theory but it's not that easy. I'm always nervous for the first round as it's a short distance, lets see."
