Neil Duff has made the 2022 WDF
Lakeside World Championship Quarter-Finals after seeing off Nick Fullwell and despite not being pleased with his display, he said it will be a rowdy atmosphere in Frimley Green when he next plays.
"I was bad, he was worse. It was a steady game more than spectacular. First set was a breeze, second set it was a wee bit snatchy and I wasn't feeling it that much. Last set I had to knuckle in, hold throw and I'd have it over. Watch this space because there's going to be an influx of Northern Irish in tomorrow. They're going to have to charter a flight," said Duff to Tungsten Tales.
"I made the prediction yesterday, I did say 3-1. I'm enjoying it and I can see myself here on Sunday."
But for Duff, there will be no more predictions due to a phone call from his mother and some stern words being given.
"I'm actually not allowed to do any more predictions as my mum rang me on Tuesday night she said you're a cocky git, you need to stop that. I'm not going to make predictions as Jim's my pairs partner."
