Jim McEwan came through a marathon tie with Michael Warburton to reach the Quarter-Finals at the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship.
McEwan admitted he was exhausted post match and that he had to put friendship aside with Warburton during the match.
"It turned out the way I fully expected it to turn out. We always have games like that but that was a special one obviously because it's Lakeside. I'm exhausted, can you not interview Michael (Warburton) instead?," he joked to Tungsten Tales.
"Honestly I don't know where I got it from. I've been around the block a bit, you've got to that against players like Mike. I feel sorry for Mike as he put a lot into that, it made it an ugly game."
"It's such a hard opponent to play against, he never gives in but it wasn't a friend up there, it's just the way it is.
"Mr Duff isn't as much younger than me, I'll chill out and I'll be fine."
