Lisa Ashton and Ben Hazel are successfully through after both producing quality displays at the 2020 BDO World Championship.
Ashton was taking on Paula Jacklin who for the fifth year lost out in the first round and for the second time against
Lisa Ashton.
'The Lancashire Rose' is one of the favourites for the title and lived up to that billing easing past Jacklin averaging upwards of 80 for the most part winning the sets 3-0, 3-0 and she finished it off with a 110 checkout to seal the deal.
Hazel had more of a tough time getting through as he had to come from 2-0 down to defeat the experienced Gary Robson.
'Mr Ben' had a game under his belt previously on the stage but looked to be heading out of the tournament quite quickly. Despite that when Robson missed darts at double, Hazel punished him and halved the deficit.
From there he was right in the match gaining the momentum from there as 'Big Robbo' fell away. He as a result stormed to a brilliant victory to make the third round on his debut.
