Richardson began proceedings in the defence of his
Remote Darts League title with three straight victories to make it six points so far. He is currently eighth in the table but that is only due to only playing three games.
Thompson was the surprise of the opening set of fixtures. The experienced Australian's highlight was a 107.36 average in victory over Lorraine Winstanley and he emerged as the player to potentially watch going forward.
Also involved on Night Eight include
Laura Turner who is the only Ladies' player out of the line-up to claim a victory so far defeating Darren Herewini early on. She will hope as a result to continue that into tonight and add to her points.
Finally
David Cameron rounds out proceedings. The Canadian is currently just ahead of Turner having won one, drawn two but not lost any games so far on a night which saw three players all have the same record.
In the first phase of the Remote Darts League which sees twenty evenings, all participants play against each other once. Four players are involved per night, with each player completing three matches. Matches are best of 10 legs, so a 5-5 draw is possible.
After twenty days of action, the top four in the league will advance to the playoffs, which are scheduled for Monday, June 8.
