Anderson enjoys winning return with Scotland: ‘It’s good to be back and I’m enjoying it’

Gary Anderson returned to televised darting action on Thursday night as him and Peter Wright whitewashed Denmark at the World Cup of Darts.
Anderson spoke afterwards and admitted that it’s good to be back playing competitively again.
Also he spoke about the pairs format and that with him and Wright not playing it as often, it’s hard to get into a rhythm.
"It's good to be back and I'm enjoying it," said Anderson. "We don't play pairs very often so it's hard to get into a rhythm but we got through.
"The darts are going well in practice so we'll see what happens this weekend."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
