It is already known that Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price are no friends on the tour. The Scotsman even named the Welshman 'a clown' last year prior to their game at the World Series of Darts Finals.
“We’ll play darts. I’m not the one who’s going to jump about the stage like a clown. If you hit a 180, that’s what you’re supposed to do, it’s not to showboat up there, so we’ll see what happens,” said the two-time world champion. The Scotsman labelled Price as a ‘circus-clown’ in a newspaper interview with the Scottish Sun Sport.
The two rivals faced each other again at the Unibet Masters in Milton Keynes. Once again, Anderson beat Price, this time by a 10-6 scoreline. During his post-match interview, the world number four had an advice for the Welshman.
"It was a struggle but I played well. If you can't beat a man with a bad back, you better go back to the practice board, simple as that'', stated Anderson after his game in an interview with ITV.
