The Welshman took an early advantage as he won the first three legs with two 14-dart legs and a 15-darter. Clemens came back to 5-4, before Clayton won three legs on the spin again to win the title in Barnsley.
Clayton survived match-darts against Nathan Rafferty and Jermaine Wattimena en route to the final, while he also needed eleven legs to beat Vincent van der Voort in the third round. Zoran Lerchbacher, Marko Kantele and Ian White were also beaten by 'The Ferret'.
