Rob Cross claimed a maiden World Series win at the Brisbane Darts Masters and admitted it was a long time coming in an interview with Live Darts.

Cross also spoke about his form and has said that it is close to where it was around a year ago. "Obviously I'm buzzing to get the win - it's been a long time coming to be honest," Cross told Live Darts. "I've been close so many times and I've been happy with my form. But it's nice to get over the line. "We've been away for so long now with the World Series so I can't wait to get back to my wife and kids. "The plan is to celebrate with a massive Aussie style BBQ, obviously. I'm bringing back cork hats for everyone and we'll have a good night. "I'm hoping that the weather in Hastings is like it has been in Brisbane. I might even take the dog Bolt for a walk down on the beach and have a swim. At least there's no sharks!" He added: "To be quite honest I don't think there's been any blips. My form is very close to what it was a year ago. "The difference is the expectation of me is much greater now because of winning the Worlds. I accept that and it's a good thing to be honest”.
