Cross looking forward to Vegas debut: “My Ally Pally hangover is gone now, that’s for sure”

Rob Cross will make his debut in Vegas as part of the US Darts Masters, the latest event on the World Series calendar and has admitted his Ally Pally hangover is over in an interview with Live Darts.

For Cross he has spoken about how he is also treating it as a holiday, as well as playing in the US Darts Masters as the tournaments start to stack up. Also for him he admits that the travelling has put him out of his comfort zone but he is learning to adapt now. "I'm happy to be in Vegas. I love the film The Hangover so it’s awesome to be here where it was filmed, almost surreal," he told Live Darts. "It's quite nice to get a bit of a break with the missus while we are here. It's our last chance to chill out for a bit until the big events really kick in. "It's not been a bed of roses for me. But it never was going to be after winning the World Championship, I knew it would be so hard. But my Ally Pally hangover has gone now, that's for sure. "However, there’s a lot of guys out there who’d love to be in my shoes having won a world title. So I just need to work out how to defend it now. "I have been struggling with a new routine of being on the road so much. It’s been tough and I’ve been out of my comfort zone. "That's something I'm having to learn as we go along. The likes of Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson have been doing this amount of travelling for years. They know how to adapt to the burden of travelling."
