We spoke to the recent switchee from the BDO about that as well as claiming his tour card and his ambitions for his first year on the tour.
Thanks for agreeing to do this interview Davy, first of all how did you get into darts growing up?? My dad took me when I was 16 to the pub where he played darts , And it looked like lot of fun so I asked him if I could play too. And he let me play too. You recently claimed your PDC tour card playing at the European Q-School. What are your thoughts after doing so as well as on the set up in Hildesheim?? My thoughts? I was over the moon. I worked hard for this so it feels so good when you acheive something from it. You are one of the players that left the BDO to join the PDC, what were your reasons behind that and are you looking forward to the opportunity of playing on the PDC tour?? Thats easy . There is more of a future in the PDC then in the BDO. And I would love to play against the best players in the world . So Yes, I am looking forward to it.Well it was really tense. I wasn’t tense when I was playing but when I lost that game on the last day, it was out of my hands. And that was tense! So it was a big relief when I heard that I made it. Finally what are your ambitions for your first year on the PDC tour and do you believe you can cause some real damage on the tour?? Well The first year is new and I’ve got nothing to lose. I am going to train hard and try to win as much as I can. I believe eventually I can do some damage. Join the Fantasy Premier League Darts!
